Is there a way that I can remove the whole number to leave the decimal place.

1.69 should be 0.69
10.71 should be 0.71
0.48 should be 0.48

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Welcome to the board...

Try

=A1-INT(A1)

In case you want this as well, to get the whole number (removing the decimal)

=INT(A1)

Hope that helps...

In a formula, you can use:
=MOD(A1,1)
where A1 contains your original number.

If you have negative values, use Aladin's formula - MOD will produce incorrect results. Sorry about that!

Or if you know negative values are a possibility and you like the MOD approach..

=MOD(ABS(A1),1)
