Hey, welcome back to the MrExcel netcast, I'm Bill Jelen.
Basically, you start out with massive amounts of data, and say “How we're going to analyze this?” Well, let's fire up a Pivot table and see if we can solve this problem!
Hey welcome back, it's another MrExcel netcast, I'm Bill Jelen.
Another cool trick, this one came from the Power Analyst Boot Camp last week.
Paste some data in from the web and, of course, you get all of these hyperlinks, the hyperlinks everywhere, and you could, of course, right-click and say Remove Hyperlink.
But if you have hundreds of them, what a nightmare, we can use a trick.
Put a 1 here, copy that 1 onto the clipboard with Ctrl+C, and then choose the range of data, and use Edit, Paste Special.
Choose Multiply, so we're multiplying all of those hyperlinks by the 1 on the clipboard, and lo and behold, it gets rid of the hyperlink, look at or just regular text now.
Now they're still formatted like hyperlinks, so you're going to want to come in and choose Normal to get back to something normal, but a great way to actually get rid of all the hyperlinks in one great click.
Thanks for stopping by, we'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel!
