Removed Records: Sorting from /xl/tables/table2.xml part (Table)

Every third or fourth time I open this workbook I get the error "Removed Records: Sorting from /xl/tables/table2.xml part (Table)"

I have no Idea what to do.

Any Ideas?

What kind of sorting are you doing on that table, and do you use code to do it?

There are several worksheets in the book, all with tables and I do not know which one this is for. The sorting is basic, column a, column b, column c.
I have not made changes to the sort criteria and never had the issue before. how can I at lease identify what sheet the error is in?

You'd need to unzip the workbook's XML and then find the actual table name listed in that xml file. You can then look through the workbook for it.

So, do you do any sorting in code, or is it all manual?

I suspected as much. Does your code clear the existing sortfields before it adds more? It's a common mistake to forget to do that and it results in this error.

I had this same issue and resolved it by adding the following to the Sub Workbook_BeforeClose

Sheet2.Sort.SortFields.Clear

Solved the issue for me. I suspect I could manually do it before closing, but I have several VBA routines which filter data when you open the tab so I thought this was a better solution.
I suspect that the root of the issue is as RoryA said, but this bandaid resolved the issue until I can debug further.
