Hi all,

I currently have an excel worksheet with this information:

Apologize for blurring out all the information. However, there are a bunch of weird borders around some of my cells that popped up when I started copy pasting data way back. Now, no matter what I do by filtering with "no border" or "erase border", it will not delete the borders.

I can copy paste blank cells on top which seems to do the job, but then I will lose some very much important information and formulas --> surely there must be an easier way to do this?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Lets start with checking if it is conditional formatting.
Press <F5> (Goto) > Special Cells > Conditional formatting > Enter
Are the problem cells now all highlighted ?

You are a genius Alex. It was conditional formatting, I did not think about that at all!

Thank you so much for solving my issue! :)

No problem. Glad I could help.
PS: Saying that clear formatting didn't work but copying a blank cell over the top helped a lot.
I also know that conditional formatting will only allow you to do the thinner borders shown in your image. ;)
