Treading in unfamiliar waters yet again...
We have a spreadsheet that does alot in our opinion. It had an issues list on one sheet. We moved that content to Sharepoint as a Sharepoint list to allow for more access of data entry...seemed smart.
I saw how I could create an IQY file and then when in Excel I brought the content in as a list table and I can use VBA to refresh the table...tht was fun. And so far it seems that I didnt break any existing functionality- yay.
PROBLEM- after I refresh the data nightly, we need to package up the Excel file and distribute to a larger audience and I dont want them to be able to refresh or to be dealing with (seemingly) excessive warnings about Protected view.
I find I can delte the connection, and save...but I still get a message about being in protected view if I close and reopen...can I avoid that somehow?
