I had password protection added to a workbook so other viewers could not make changes. I removed the protection and re-saved some of the worksheets. Although a password isn't required to open any of the re-saved worksheets, a pop-up appears on opening advising the user that selecting Yes will open the document in Read Only and selecting No will open the document and also allow changes. How can I remove the Read Only pop-up? I would like to allow these sheets to open with editing capability to anyone selecting them.

Thanks

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
You need to locate the worksheet_activate event code that's generating the pop-up and delete it. Sounds like its in ThisWorkbook. To find it:
1. open the workbook
2. right-click any worksheet tab (where the worksheet name appears) and click on View Code - this opens the VB Editor
3. in the project tree on the left of the editor window, double-click on the ThisWorkbook icon
4. look for code that contains the Read Only message and delete it.
5. save the workbook
You might want to do this on a copy of your workbook first as the deletion will be permanent after step 5. Alternatively, you could simply copy whatever you find in ThisWorkbook and post here to get some guidance on how to best remove the pop-up w/o altering other code that might be desired.
