I am just starting to dabble in Access and I need to remove any parenthesis and their contents from my field "CustomerName". In Excel I would do a Find and Replace of "(*)", but that does not seem to work here.

Thanks as always!

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Please post some examples of your data and expected results.
If you may have different scenarios (i.e. parentheses showing up in different places, multiple times, or not at all), please be sure to include those cases in your examples.

My apologies...

Here is what my data sheet currently looks like:

MIKES AUTO REFINISHING (C60)
MIKES AUTO REFINISHING (C60)
CALIBER - GLENOLDEN #3709 (W60)
MOPPERT BROTHERS AUTO COL
CALIBER - GLENOLDEN #3709 (W60)
KEN STOCKER AUTO BODY
BUCKINGHAM COLLISION & TOWING SERVI
BUCKINGHAM COLLISION & TOWING SERVI
BUCKINGHAM COLLISION & TOWING SERVI
MAACO BRIDGEPORT (W60)
MAACO BRIDGEPORT (W60)

<caption> Sales </caption><thead>
[TH="bgcolor: #c0c0c0"] CustomerName [/TH]

</thead><tbody>
</tbody><tfoot></tfoot>

And this is what I would like it to look like:

MIKES AUTO REFINISHING

You can use an Update Query to remove it, like this:
Code:
UPDATE Table1
SET Table1.CustomerName = Trim(Left([CustomerName],InStr([CustomerName],"(")-1))
WHERE InStr([CustomerName],"(")>0;
You can copy and paste this into a new query, by switching the SQL View in the Query Builder.
Just substitute Table1 with the name of your Table.
