Is it possible to reference a math sign like plus (+) or minus (-) in a formula from another cell in excel? Example, I want to add values of cell A1 (Value: 2) and B1 (Value: 3). Cell C1 has plus (+) sign. So, my formula should be
Excel Formula:
=A1&C1&B1
and the result should be 5. This of course is not working and now I'm here for the answers :).

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Hello,

Its unclear to me
What result do you expect ???

See if this helps
Excel Formula:
=IF(C1="+",A1+B1,FALSE)

I was just curious if referencing the mathematical operators directly would work or not but looks like it won't. Unless we create a UDF. Thanks to both of you for such a quick help.

You could use names. Select a cell and define a Name: MyFormula RefersTo: =EVALUATE(A1&B1&C1)
Then put =MyFormula in the cell you had selected during the name definition.
