I'm using a VSTACK and want to reference a previous column's info. So far, I have it like so: VSTACK({column names...},SORT...(HSTACK(COUNT, AVERAGE)))

I want to include a 3rd HSTACK item to calculate each item in the "AVERAGE" column by a consistent set of 2 numbers (for now).

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere by the terminology I'm using, so I might just be looking it up wrong, but I've been searching google by things like:

Excel reference prior column in HSTACK
Excel match reference by array header
Excel reference another column in my array

Thank you, in advance.

Also, I've tried using INDEX, INDIRECT, and other functions to reference the cells.

Welcome to the Forum!

Can you please post a simple example, showing input and required output, to illustrate what you're trying to do? It's best if you can use our XL2BB add-in to do this - then we can easily copy/paste into a workbook for testing.

Also, if you're using HSTACK and VSTACK, you've moved on from Excel 2019. it would be good to update your Account details so that other users always know which version you're using.
