Hi all!

In my footer I am trying to reference the value in cell F6. I have tried to use the information contained within this article; however, when I try to type in "&F6" to the left Footer, it changes to "&[File]6".

Has anyone else experienced this before, and if so, is there a step that I'm overlooking?

Thank you all so much for your help!

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I believe the only way you can do this is with a VBA Macro. If you're okay with using VBA, then the question would be how you want to run it. Would you want it to run just before printing? Would you want to use a button?

Hi Vogateer,

Thank you for your response! Using a VBA macro would be just fine, as I already have a macro button set up in the worksheet to print the form. You wouldn't happen to know the code, would you?

Never mind! I figured it out. The code I'm using (just in case someone else stumbles upon this at some point) is:

VBA Code:
Dim cellValue As String
    Dim ws As Worksheet
    Dim wsStudent As Worksheet
    Dim rng As Range

    ' Specify the worksheet and cell from which you want to retrieve the value
        Set ws = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("HOME")
        Set rng = ws.Range("A23")

        Set wsStudent = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Student Financial Aid Worksheet")

    ' Get the value from the specified cell
        cellValue = rng.Value

    ' Set the cell value in the footer
        With wsStudent.PageSetup
            .LeftFooter = cellValue
        End With
