Reducing Excel Crashes

Hi everyone. Is there a way to reduce Excel crashes? My Excel routinely crashes every now and then, sometimes its probably my fault but sometimes it is just random. I usually work with workbooks with 10,000 to 150,000+ rows. I regularly save but sometimes I would forget and when it crashes I am like :banghead::pray::nervous::cry:.

Is there any "tweaking" I can do or any suggestions to limit Excel crashes? I believe my hardware is good enough... i5 processor and 8 gig ram running Excel 2013.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
In VBA Code development in XL 2007, or in running a code, this happens to me a lot. And i have noticed it is occurring more and more often. If i am lucky it restarts and i have not lost too much. It says it is “trying to repairing” as it re – opens all files that were open at the time of the crash.

But I have noticed it never happens if i run every code that i do at least once initially in F8 Debug Mode.

I find this is particularly important if i have just edited something in the VB Editor and then try to re-run the code:
For some reason my Excel gets very upset sometimes and crashes if i do a F5 straight after an edit. An F8 in-between run seems to calm it down!

Once in a while, After it has happened a lot I get a pop up which allows me to do some problem diagnostics...It happened again Today ....

I agreed to do the checks, it did them, found no problems .....

Then it suggested this link:

http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/diagnostichelp.aspx?V=12.0.6612.1000

The result---

A page with this written in lots of languages

Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found.
