Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
I am guessing that your Form is based on a query?
Is it important to note that not all queries are updateable. See: Microsoft Access tips: Why is my query read-only?

A good test is to go to the underlying query, and see if you can update records directly in that query.

So, are you saying that you have a Form/Subform relationship going on here?
How are they related?
What exactly are you trying to update?

Two tables with a one to many relationship updated by a form with a table and a sub-table in it. only the sub-table will now allow information to be put in through the form. You can go into the sub-table directly and update it from there but not through the form part.

I am not sure I completely understand how you have this set-up. There really is no such thing as a ""subtable" in Access. There are tables, many of which are related. There are Forms and Subforms (that is when you imbed one form inside of another). Is that what you have?

I think we really need to understand the structure of the tables involved, how they are related, how they are linked in your form, and which fields you are trying to update.
