Hi Guys
Can someone help me out please?
I am a novice with excel so please spell it out
In very simple terms.
I want to open an Excel spreadsheet X:\EXCEL\Pension.xlsx
And I want CELL G14 to read a value stored in another CLOSED
Excel spreadsheet X:\EXCEL\costs.xlsx CELL E4
CELL E4 holds a value of £10,000 at the moment,it will change !
I want to take that away from X:\EXCEL\Pension.xlsx G14
Hope that makes sense
Thanks a lot Guys

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
When you link to an cell in the external file the file will ask if you want to update the links.
