We have approx 200 employees who use Excel 2003 and have each registered under the following within Excel:
Tools - Options - General tab - User Name
However when selecting a file, others and myself have received a notification that "Joe Bloggs" has the file open. After contacting him, he states he had it opened 2 days ago. Later we find out that some one else had it opened. Does anyone hold the key as to why this system is not operating in real time and advising the correct name who has it open?
