Re numbering numeric primary key due to deletion of records

Can anyone help
Have a primary key - autonumber
Wish to renumber due to deletion of records
Firstly is this possible
Second if so how?
Any halp would be greatly appreciated

Hi zbish,
Much depends on your data structures and relationships to other tables. If you will not be violating referential integrity etc, then it is straightforward.

If you take a look in Help (on the menu bar) select index, and enter 'Autonumber', you should be able to find the step by step process you need to guide you ('Change the starting value of an incrementing Autonumber field)
