Re: countifs based on multiple main criteria and multiple criteria

[h=2]Hi all

Im not sure if I should post this a a new thread or continue in the existing thread so I have done both? please advise

I need to count the no. of Boys with a "Y" for FSM who have scored between and including 4 and 5 Reading points.
where

Column B = Gender ie. B or G
Column C is FSM (Free School Meals)
Column AX = Reading Points (recorded as numbers up to 1 decimal place)

I have tried to rework a formula provided by kind posters to my original message but got stuck!

an worksheet formula would be excellent but I can also use an array formula or vba (novice user)

any help is greatly appreciated

many thanks

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
