Hi everyone,
I have a pretty complex scenario here and don't know how to get excel to work this out. Hope you guys can help me out.
As per attached screenshot, this is a score table of a handball competition.
The tie break rules are the complexity here.
If two team tie in points then head to head points are considered to tie break
If more than two teams tie in points then their head to head point different used to break the tie.
In this case France and Spain are tie with 8 points but their head to head points are FRANCE(36)31)SPAIN so France should rank 1 and Spain rank 2.
Similarly Brazil and Argentina both have 2 points and head to head points are BRAZIL(25)23)ARGENTINA therefore Brazil should rank 5 and Argentina 6.
What do you think the best way to have the ranking working with the tie break rules apply.
Thank you.
