Just after info really. I was involved in a post today where the OP had their formula a long way from their data (formula in K63, data starting in K2399) so I hid the rows between the formula and the data then selected the cells and went to use XL2BB and got the message below.

Just a couple of questions..
1) are hidden rows included in the count (they appear to be as I had no issue when I put the formula nearer the data).
2) does anyone know what the limit of selected cells is set at

It wasn't a big issue as I just put the formula in a cell nearer the data and informed the OP why I had done so.

I think the limit is about 3000 cells regardless of whether they are hidden or contain data
 
FYI: I have now raised a question about this issue.
 
My question was about not including hidden cells in the count for limit purposes but at this stage it looks like any hidden cells have to be included in the cell count so it will probably stay as is.
Work around could be what you already did by moving the formula or another option would be to make two mini sheets - one with the data rows and one with row 63. That is just like when the data is on one sheet and the formula is on another sheet.
