I have two worksheets open on my screen (or multiple monitors) at the same time, but the sheets are from different workbooks.

When I make a cell change in one workbook sheet, any rand() values are changed in the other workbook sheet.

I'm using a Windows computer, but my friend with a Mac doesn't seem to have the same problem.

Is there something I can do to still have two sheets from two different workbooks open on the one screen (or across multiple monitors) but not have cell changes in one workbook sheet affect the rand function in cells in a different workbook sheet ?

Very kind regards,

Chris

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
First, set calculation to manual. Then when you want to calculate the sheet that doesn't hold the RAND function, do so by making the sheet active and then holding down the shift key and pressing the F9 key.
