I am looking at wind vectors, analyzing the number of hours the wind blows in different directions (blocks of 15 degrees or so).
I've heard this called a wind rose, or wind rosette.
This works great as a radar chart, however I'd like to make one little tweak...the data would be more accurately represented as a sort of radial bar chart...I'm not sure how to describe it. Instead of plotting one point in the middle of the degree range, if it could plot a line or an arc. Then I'd like to fill the whole thing, and I've seen some other examples of that in various places, I haven't tried that yet.
Anyone do anything like this and would like to give me some ideas?
Thanks!
