Hello everyone,

My name is Ryan and I am new to the forum. I am fairly new to learning excel. I am currently enrolled in a class at Northern Virginia community college to help to become more familiar on how to use excel. I was wondering if anyone could help me to understand how recommend PivotTables work. What I am stuck on with it is when I get to the pivotTable fields. For my assignment I need to add items to the rows and columns area. I figured out how to remove and add another item to the rows column but cant figure out how to add anything to the columns area. I have been stuck on this for around 30 minutes now and finally decided that I need some help before I lose my sanity. If someone could help me to understand recommended pivotTables better I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ryan

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
