Query records starting with a letter

Hi,
In your query enter an expression such as this into the Field row:-
Expr1: IsNumeric(Left$([MyTable]![Material],1))
Change the 'MyTable' bit to the name of your table.
In the Criteria row of the query design view type the word True.
Does that work for you?
