I'm running a query that requires the user to select one of two metric periods: "12 MO" or "FYTD". I'm familiar with creating a prompt using brackets, but how would I do so and have the input either selected from a 2-element list or validated to make sure that no input error occurs?

To be clear, this is to be used running a query macro, not using input forms.

Thanks!

What is the aversion to using Forms? That is how this typically would be done. Parameter queries do not allow for drop-down selections.

An alternative may be to just create two nearly identical queries/macros (one for each criteria), and have them just pick/click on the one they want to run.
