Query Naming Convention?

(Excel 2016 - Get & Transform as well as Data Model)

I know it's best to always plan ahead, but sometimes we humans make mistakes and change our minds.

It's been my experience over the past 15 months I've worked with PQ (Get & Transform) that renaming queries after they've been loaded to the Data Model absolutely destroys the universe. The new name doesn't automatically refresh in the Data Model. I know that if I have calculated fields/columns and lookups that it even destroys the universe worser, but even without those, the tab name isn't refreshed.

Is there a better way to rename a query and have it reflected in the DataModel better? Deleting the tab in Data Model and then refreshing the query does NOT seem to be the answer (Excel gods hate me for that).

Suggestions?

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
The only way I know of is to remove it from the data model, then re-add it. :-(. As I always teach in my classes, spends some time and get it right the first time.

That's the issue - I can't remove it from the data model - it says "remove it using Power Query" and it already was removed from PowerQuery - it just wasn't reflected in the Data Model.

I suppose it's just a very annoying bug right now.

Oh! That's bad. Have you tried reversing everything and putting the name back the way it was first?

Yeah, that's when the universe started collapsing. I ended up having to revert back to an earlier version of the file and accepting the "mislabeled" query.
