Hi All,

I was looking for a criteria in a query to select all records when a List Value such as 'ALL' is selected else filter only records that are selected in List box of a form. I tried the following in the criteria but No luck.

iif([Forms]![Form1]![List4]="ALL","*",[Forms]![Form1]![List4])

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
No intention here of disagreeing with the proposed solution, especially since I didn't review it. However, if I see the problem correctly, there's a learning opportunity. I believe you have to use the LIKE operator whenever you use the wildcard (*).
Code:
iif([Forms]![Form1]!
[List4]="ALL","Like *",[Forms]![Form1]!
[List4])
Sorry, CANNOT stop the line from wrapping, no matter what I do.
