I know I've seen it , in fact I thought I had saved it as a subscribed thread, but it's not to be. I am trying to enter today's date in a cell which doesn't change to tomorrow's date when I re-open the file. I was certain it required vba to make it static, does anybody know what is required?

thanks VoG,

I need to automate a simple report, which puts the date and recipe name on a line with some other bits, which might be 1 item or up to 5 , which is why I was thinking a VBA solution is required. however I now have a very useful keystroke (and potentially a very much used ) to add to my collection
