Hi, does anybody know of any applications available that will run my cpu at 100% for a few hours? I need to make sure that the PC isn't over-heating. Thank you, Sean.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
This simple routine runs my XP machine at 100%; according to Task Manager at least.

Code:
Sub run100()
Dim strt As Date
strt = Now()
Do
Loop Until Now() >= strt + "04:00:00"' eg 4 hours
End Sub

Yep, that's about it. :lol:

Incidentally, this should be in the Excel Discussion & Other Questions forum. Moved.

Thanks for helping out and happy holidays,
Nathan :)

I would also like to thank everyone who has helped me out on this board over the last year or so. It's reasuring to know that (some) people will still help there fellow 'man' without expecting financial gain and that not everyone is fighting. I'll enjoy the next week or so but also appreciate that many will not.

To be PC: H a p p y H o l i d a y s everyone.

If your looking to test system stability, such as for overheating due to overclocking, use a proggy called Prime95. It will calculate prime numbers in a series of tests lasting up to 24 hours. The longer your system lasts, the more stable it is. Generally you want to make it past the 7 hour mark. Message me for more help.

Hello Sloveni4n,

You've got my attention. :)

Can you provide more detail or perhaps a link for myself or others who are interested in a more detailed discussion on the topic?

Merci Beaucoup. 8-)
