I have two workbooks and I want to pull some information from one to the other depending on what the contents of the cells are.

I'm trying to write a formula so that if in Cell A1 in workbook 1 says either red or amber, Cell A2 will copy information from a linked cell in another workbook, say B10, but if it says green I dont want the information copied over e.g.

If cell A1 in workbook 1 says red then I want cell A2 to pull the information from cell B10 in workbook 2 however if cell A1 was to be changed to green I woud want it to return a blank.

Can this be done?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
