Pull stock price daily

Hello everyone,

Do anyone know a way to pull any stock price just by typing the ticker of the stock in excel, hence can get a daily rate on the stock.

For example, using the ticker of Microsoft MSFT, pull the current stock price.

There used to be a way of doing so easily by using the Excel function WEBSERVICE with parameters attached to the URL for yahoo finance, but they nixed the functionality in late Autumn.

You can still use an Excel Add-in called Stock Connector. Click on Developer|Add-ins|FinancialManagement and it'll be in there somewhere.

Also, you can go to yahoo finance, set up an account, create a portfolio of assets that interest you, Export the data (to a csv file on your computer), and then deal with the data however you like. My preference was to create a PowerQuery query that makes a master list of prices that I can refer to in various other Excel files.
