Is there a way to define worksheets once and have different modules use that definition?

So if I Set ws1= thisworkbook.worksheets("Sheet1") i can use ws1 in any code and it will know the reference?

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Further to post#2, make sure you only declare it once & remove any Dim Ws1 statements, from ALL code.

Thanks. Am I creating more problems for myself by using this method? I understand that's a loaded question.

Very probably.
When using public variables, you have to ensure that you don't then use the same variable name in any code, otherwise you'll destroy the public variable

This would be a good time to read Understanding Scope and Visibility in Help.
