Hi

How do I avoid the #DIV/0! error message if a divisor cell has no value in it? Could someone please tell me how to alter the following formula to do this:

=AVERAGEIFS(N5:N20,P5:P20,"Industrial")

Thanks a lot

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest

=IFERROR(AVERAGEIFS(N5:N20,P5:P20,"Industrial"),"")
or =IFERROR(AVERAGEIF(P5:P20,"industrial",N5:N20),"") since you have only ONE criteria...
