Protecting folders from being deleted

We can prevent unauthorised access to office files from modifying them. But
is there a way of protecting folders, files from being deleted, renamed or moved ?

Assuming these folders are on a network server where everyone has certain rights and permissions, your network supervisor/administrator (depending on your network) will have the means to set what access rights certain individuals have rather than what properties the folders have.
