One of the features I love about Excel tables is that as you complete a row of data and tab through, it will automatically expand to start the next row. Further, that doing this carries forward formulas and formatting to the newly added row. However, I am finding that if the sheet with the table is protected, this feature no longer functions.
I have an Excel file with a sheet that has formulas and formatting that I don't want changed by the users who simply enter the data. As such, I'd like to protect the sheet, but I want to keep the autoexpand functionality as these end-users seem to struggle with copying formulas correctly.
Is there any way to allow autoexpand of a table on a protected sheet without requiring the employment of VBA?
