Protected Sheet Link Issue

Hi there all, I am protecting a sheet in which is contained a link to an embedded word document which has instructions for certain parts of the form. When I add the protection it causes an issue whereby if you click anywhere on the page, it opens the word document, clearly an issue. It's not an unattached macro, simply a hyperlink in a cell. Not sure what's causing it or how to fix it, any thoughts?
