I have a spreadsheet which has to be updated daily. however i work with several workbooks at a time and inquire for information on one worsheet and copy and paste some data to other worsheet. i would like to know if there is a macro to to the following.
prompt the user to save the worksheet when another sheet within the workbook or another workbook is seleceted.
upon saving or cancel the change the worksheet is protected.
when change is required click on a shape (with macro) to unprotect the sheet.
furthermore is it possible to protect rows in a list if a cell contains a value lets say "Completed record" and other rows remain unprotected
