Hello,
I would like to use proper posting etiquette here. Could someone offer the appropriate ways of the board?
I have two questions w/ respect to posting on the board.
1. Topic had not been resolved / Do not know the Topic existed. Should a New Post or use Old Post: Should a new Topic, be started or the original one be added to?
I had started a new thread on an Excel matter based on what I had or not found, on the topic in the knowlege base, "How to create personalized macro buttons". Another user had started a thread over a year ago (exact same thing, which I did not know about at the time of the new topic was started) which another user had sent me a link on in a reply post. I followed up w/ the original poster, but this topic had not been resolved (I spoke to him personally after being directed to the topic).
A regular board member, much more experienced than I instructed me to post off the original thread not use a new one, so I did. I still have not gotten a response to date... about two weeks now.
2. Since the issue had never been resolved and it was quite old, what is the appropriate etiquette regarding posting to the old request or a new one and how long should one wait before posting the question again if no response is given? As I mentioned above, it has been a little longer than two weeks now.
Regards,
Doug
