Problems with Pivot Table Custom Styles

When I attempt to make a custom pivot table style and apply it, only certain aspects seem to work, for example, a header row. However, when I try to add striped lines to a custom style and apply the style, the striped lines do not show up. Does anybody know why I may be having a problem with the custom styles? Thanks a lot!
 
If correctly understood, then you need the “whole table” parameter (see the photo).

Sergius, Sorry for the extremely late reply. I've tried using the whole table option, but it still doesn't work. It seems as if this is one of the many insolvable Excel flaws
