I downloaded a Google Sheet as an Excel file, and I am trying to copy/ cut a number of rows from a Spreadsheet into a new worksheet. When I try to paste or insert the cut rows I receive the following error message: "Excel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas as a result these formulas cannot be evaluated."
My workbook is not very big: 287 rows, Column J. I'm running Windows 7, Excel 2010, and have two programs open, Windows Task Manager says I'm using less than half of my CPU. I have no fancy or complicated formulas.

Have any body else had problems editing a file saved from Google Sheets? If you did what did you do to get the workbook to perform correctly?

Thanks as always! You folks are great!

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
instead of trying to copy/paste entire rows after you insert the empty rows, try copy/paste just the range you need

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried inserting a row as well, with no luck. I tried resting my computer, and that still didn't work. I finally got things to work by downloading a whole new file. This time, it worked by my copying (not cutting) the selected rows I need.
Although it took longer, it got the job done. :->
