Problem

I have just imported data from a database into excel. All the information looks ok and is in the correct cells etc. However the numerical data won't add up ie if you use the @sum formula for a range of cells the answer is 0.

I have found that if you copy the cells into a new cell and hit F2 and enter the data is now ok and can be added etc. The only problem is there is a huge volume of data and to go through each cell is very time consuming.

I have tried to re format etc but the F2 enter option is the only one that seems to work.

Anyone know why this is happening and how to get around it.

Thanks
