I have created a macro with shortcut keys ctr +h. When I try to run the code, the dialog box for "find and replace" appeared, instead of executing the code.

I would like to know the underlying reason for code I have been used. What are the necessary amendment that I should make ?

Appreciate if the Excel experts in the forum can give me a helping hand.

Thanks in advance.

Did you type an upper case H in the shortcut field when you assigned your shortcut? If so, go back and look at the shortcut setting... you will see it is CTRL+SHIFT+H (and that keystroke will bring up your macro)... if you change the upper case H to a lower case h, then your macro will be called as you expect it to (of course, you will lose the shortcut to the Replace dialog box afterwards).

Hi Rick, thanks for your prompt reply.
I checked the assigned key and found out they are left unfilled. I remembered that I have assigned the shortcut key when I recorded the macros.

What is the underlying reasons for this ?

Anyway, the problem has been resolved. Thanks you very much.

You can set and/or change a shortcut for your macro at any time. With any worksheet active, press ALT+F8 to bring up the Macro dialog box... select your macro in the list and click the "Options..." button... you can assign or change the shortcut key at the dialog box that appears.
