Can anyone help please? For some reason the highlighted tab is shown 174 but I want that the number on this cell does not exceed the 173.33, so he maximum number will be 173.33. If the number on the red tab will be changed to 176 then the formula will work perfectly

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
AG4 is less than AH4 which is why the formula is returning 174.00.
If that is not what you want, then you need to clearly explain what you do want.

Many thanks for your reply.

I want that AG4 is less then AH4 then the amount of AG4 will be shown on AL4 but this number cannot acced the 173.33. Less than 173.33 is ok but it cant be higher then this.

Many thanks

What happens if AG4 is not less than AH4?

Than AL4 Will show the number ofAG4.

bailsically what I am trying to do is that AG4 is the total of hours worked by an employee and AH4 is how many hours is to be worked by the employee in that month.

So the formula is that AL4 will be the basic so this number will not need to excel 173.33

Ok, how about
Excel Formula:
=IF(AG4<AH4,MIN(AG4,173.33),AG4)

Ok, how about
Excel Formula:
=IF(AG4<AH4,MIN(AG4,173.33),AG4)
Many thanks for your help it worked but unfortunately when the number in AG4 is higher than 173.33 it changed aswell in AL4.

Is there a way that the number in AL4 does not go higher the 173.33 please?

Many thanks

It will only go above 173.33 if AG4 is greater than or equal to AH4

Yes but you need to explain exactly what should happen. At the moment the formula does exactly what you asked for.
