SORRY.
I wnet through the FAQ a number of time somehow I missed this paragraph
thanks a lot. I have not tested but I am sure it will work.

thank you I followed your advice it is ok. the eroor message has gone.
but one more question.
If I use this htmlmaker and copy the source to my post will this spreadsheet be seen in the preview so that I can be sure that I have not done any mistake.
thanks.

from the FAQ
"Do not preview a message containing HTML Maker code....."
workaround
first click SUBMIT
when you see errors you can still click EDIT to change your message

Erik

What is not working? I can not find any post by you that is using HTML Maker.

How are you using the HTML Maker? Can you explain what you are doing?

thank you for your patience.

I click html maker(menu) choose the range and click ok and accept the formula and maximum allowed etc . Now I see the spradsheet in Html format . But if I clikc either 1) copy source to clipboarad or 2) view source, it does NOT work. so I go to view in menubar and click source and click edit-select all
and clcik copy and paste it in my message and clik submit

The person to whom I replied reported that he/she did not get the spread sheet.

I thought I am doing ok but somewhere I am doing an inadvertent mistake.

thanks
venka

Ok, I found the post you are talking about.

The HTML code you pasted is there in the post, but it is not displaying because you are not doing it correctly.

Do not copy the source from the View menu.

Use the "copy to clipboard" button provided on the HTML Maker page to automatically copy the HTML code to your clipboard. Then you just paste the code into your message here.

If you want to view the source, use the "view source" button that is provided *on the generated page.* Select the all of the text displayed in the box and copy it, then paste to your message here.

All of this is covered in the FAQ as well.

I found the problem and the solution. when I click html maker and
click ok in all the three dialog boxes I get a message ih my browser (IE)
"to help protect your security, internet explorer has restricted this file from showing active
content that could access your computer. click here for options"
when I click the options
the browser gives me two choice
"allow blocked conent
and
what is the risk
if click what is the risk
It descsribes some risks bla bla
if I choose
allow blocked content
then I am able to view source by clicking view source and
or I can click the other box to park the source in the clipboarad.
I hope the risk described will not apply here. Then if copy the source in my posting the spread sheet comes in the forum.

I am writing this to you so that you can adivse people who
have some problems like this.

thank for your pateince and series of advices in the matter.
I dont know whether this can be added in the FAQ.
