.prn file wrap when excel has columns a-ai total of 242 characters

I am having issue saving an excel sheet, which has data in column a - ai, with a total characterset of 243 on each row, to a .prn file. When I open the prn in wordpad it ends up wrapping 3 characters on the next line...mind you i do not have wrap selected in wordpad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
