Hi all - I think somebody will enjoy working this out:-

I have a work spreadsheet that has a list of projects that I am to work on and In column J I prioritise each project 1,2,3 etc. In coulmn D there is data validation and I would like to automatically renumber the priority column the priority 1 number to dissapear when "Priced" is chosen ie my work on a project is completed, and for priority 2 to then become priority 1 and so forth. Hope this makes sense.

I tried to download Colos HTML maker - but the site servers must be acting up today.

Any help would be much appreciated as always.

Hi Stewart

How do you allocate the priorities now ?
Do you do it manually, or does a formula do it ?
Also, is it possible that you will want to show a project in the middle of the list as being complete ?

Hi Gerald, Thanks for your reply - The priority number is added manually in the column - i sometimes have about 10 prioritised projects to plan my workload around and have to manually change 2 to 1, 3 to 2 etc when priority 1 project is completed. I do display the completed projects on the same spreadsheet, but use sortation to display the info that i want.

Ive been trying to download the HTML maker to show a section of my spreadsheet without much success this morning, but hope you can make sense of the above description

Thanks again
