Printing multiple worksheets with charts

I have a weird problem printing multiple worksheets, all of which contain charts only. If I try to print all the pages at once by selecting all 10 worksheets (21 pages total), they seem to get broken up into batches. I can't see any logic to it. This happens no matter which printer I am using, or even if I print to a PDF program. If I print to PDF, I get several prompts to save the files individually - some may have 4 pages, some 2, some more.
If I print to a printer and change the properties so that it prints them in color, it will only print one set in color and then revert to the default B&W. So the first pages will be color, and then the rest will be B&W.
What is going on? I've tried to get answers to this before, with no luck. Surely I'm not the only person in the world this happens to?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this issue.
