I have a file that I update pretty much everyday. Today, I was reviewing the file and all looked good and I made no changes. I have auto save turned on. Later this evening, I went back to look at the file and excel attempts to open it by I get an error that says “Sorry, something went wrong, and Microsoft can’t open this file.” The file is saved on my OneDrive account, and interestingly enough, I can’t share a copy of the file via emailing it either...

Is there a way to retrieve an earlier version of the file; or some other method that I can try to restore/repair the file?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
I don't know about 365 but if you click on
File>>Open>>scroll down to the bottom of the window and select "Recover Unsaved Workbooks"...see if that works !
Otherwise upload the file to Dropbox or similar and someone here may try to open it !

That doesn’t appear to be an option in Excel on the iPad....
