prevent cells from being edited

Hi all,

I have a workbok with numerous sheets. On various sheets i want to stop the user from being able to alter information in the rang D4:AS4. Is there a quick macro to do this?

I think you need to lock those cells, then Protect the workbook. This is how I've done it before.

Hi there,

There may be a better way but this should work. It passwords it but you can just take that part out if you'd prefer.

Sub LockRange()

    For Each ws In ThisWorkbook.activesheets
    
        ws.Activate
        Range("D4:AS4").Locked = False
        ws.Protect Password:="password", DrawingObjects:=True, Contents:=True, Scenarios:=True
        ws.EnableSelection = xlUnlockedCells
        
    Next ws
