Powerpoint with Excel links automatically updates on create video

Working in Office 2010
I have a powerpoint presentation with links to excel files. When I open the Powerpoint file I click cancel to not update the links. However when I create a video out of the prsentation, before it saves it opens the linked excel files to update. How can I stop this from happening. I have already manually updated the links.

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
