Powerpoint error in opening presentation

I am having this problem with one of my client computers. I have a PowerPoint Presentation on the shared drive u:\ when one of the client computers tries to open this file he gets the following error:

PowerPoint cannot open U:\Presentations\.....\Entire Investor Overview.ppt because part of the file is missing.

Everyone else in the office is able to open this file and view it edit it etc. The client that can't open it has the same permissions as the rest of the group. I've tried saving it to the local drive and that doesn't work.

Any Ideas? Has anyone experieced this before?

Hi

You could try these things out,

1. Copy the original file to another name and see if the client can open that,
2. Email the file to someone not on the network and see if they can open the file, if it still says part of the file missing, then try to locate which part.
3. See if the client can log onto a "working pc" and open the file on that pc.
4. See if anyone else can open this file on the clients pc, logged on as someone other than the client.
