Hi Guys,

Is there a way to display Excel in a Powerpoint slide show? For instance, I would like to demonstrate an Excel workbook and macros and such. Instead of actually demonstrating the actual program, is it possible to "record" mouse movement and functions that occor in the Excel spreadsheet and display them in Powerpoint?

As always, much thanks,

Tom

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
You could use something like Hypercam (www.hyperionics.com) or one of its competitors to record what you do in XL as a movie file. That file can then be embedded in a PP show.

You can set up excel as you wish and using your keyboard hit Prtscn. Now in PowerPoint right click and past. You will have a complete view of the Excel window, which can be cropped or cut. You can continue this process making a complete set of slides showing the many different processes and techniques in Excel. I hope this helps?

Oh, I nearly forgot. In MS's tradition of releasing 'free' software bundled into its operating system, we now have Windows Media Encoder. I tested it as well as the complexity and the quality of the final product in my first (and so far only) tutorial incorporating video:
Read X and Y value of any point on a chart

But can it show action, like the curser moving to and executing commands?
